Beyonce Co-signs Uncle Waffles During Her Renaissance World Tour. Lungelihle Zwane, known professionally as Uncle Waffles, is a Swazi-born South African DJ and record producer. She is noted for her work in the amapiano genre and her dance abilities, with Billboard describing her as the “princess of amapiano”. She has even caught the attention of one of the most prominent international musicians in the game – Drake. There is clearly no stopping her now.

Uncle Waffles went viral after Beyoncé played her song Tanzania during the Renaissance World Tour The footage of the Lemonade hitmaker’s dancers entertaining the crowd in Sweden’s Friends Arena by dancing to the music made headlines and became a hot topic. Taking to Twitter, famous tweep @Am_Blujay tweeted a video of Beyoncé’s dancers pulling off impressive dances to Uncle Waffles’ track.

She revealed in her blog that she grew up with her grandma and only learned about her mother later in life. Lungelihle was nine years old when she reconciled with her mother after her parents rejected her on the day she was born. 

“Growing up, I didn’t understand why I didn’t live with my mother or father; as a kid, the only reason you think of is the only thing that would make sense. That they didn’t want you, so, unfortunately, that’s where the foundation started, I moved back with my mom at nine, and I felt I didn’t know her, so it was hard getting used to that, and with that came a lot of silent struggles, till the beginning of this year.” She said.
