First Phase of Artists Announced

Up The Creek 2025 lineup

The much-anticipated return of South Africa’s ultimate outdoor music festival is set for February 6th to 9th, 2025. The first phase of artists has been revealed, featuring Australia’s Hollow Coves and local legends Francois Van Coke and Matthew Mole. Other notable acts include Lucy Kruger and The Lost Boys, The Black Cat Bones, Droomsindroom, Albert Frost, Ben Dey, Die Piesangskille, Warongx, Murray, Freddy L, Luukhanyo & The Hii Rollers, and Unyazi.

A Scenic Venue by the Breede River

The festival will unfold at its beloved original location on the banks of the Breede River, just outside Swellendam. Attendees, affectionately known as Creekers, can expect a mix of fresh local sounds and an international flair from Australia. Hollow Coves, an indie folk group from Brisbane, will bring their unique blend of acoustic melodies and vocal harmonies, influenced by artists like Angus & Julia Stone, Ben Howard, and The Paper Kites.

A Growing Legacy

Established in 1990, the festival has grown significantly over the years. After a sell-out edition in 2024 with over 2,500 attendees—the second-highest in its history—the festival is set to return stronger than ever.

Early Bird Tickets Sell Out Fast

Early Bird tickets for the four-day festival went on sale on Friday, August 23rd, and sold out within an hour. This rapid sell-out is a testament to the festival’s popularity and the excitement surrounding its return.
